when using the OPTIONs interchangable... my friend, Crazycatladymel, told me about sticking a thinner yarn in the hold where the key goes on the circular to put in a lifeline for my knitting. And I put one in. And con't knitting. Next row is when I found out that stitch markers are stuck on that row, on that lifeline. So, tip, lifelie in before stitchmarkers

Dental floss is your friend. The container can go on airplanes too, but is sharp enough to cut yarn.

No, it is not. Even waxed dental floss will shred and damage the fibers in cobweb weight yarn or silk, cashmere, angora and other delicates. Stick with a button and carpet thread or embroidery floss.

What does the button do? Put it at one end to weight the lifeline?

Button and carpet thread is a strong heavy-duty sewing thread.

A couple remedies:

1 - Use stitch markers that open, like the locking ones or coilless safety pins. When, on the next row, you hit the place they're stuck on the lifeline, just open them and replace.

2 - Have 2 sets of stitch markers. When you get to the place where one got stuck on the lifeline, then put a new one on the needle and work from there. Then, if you need the lifeline, your stitch markers are already in place. Right before you're planning on running your next lifeline, remove the old one to retrieve your markers.

3 - Remove the markers as you work the lifeline row, but remember where they were (yeah, right...) and replace them on the following row.
