This one is a doozy, I dropped one of the increase stitches on the side of one of my socks. I had on the overhead pot lights/recessed lights and it was too dark to fix it and I had to turn on my torchiere/tall lamp to fix it.  how did people do intricate stitches by firelight/candlelight?
when using the OPTIONs interchangable... my friend, Crazycatladymel, told me about sticking a thinner yarn in the hold where the key goes on the circular to put in a lifeline for my knitting. And I put one in. And con't knitting. Next row is when I found out that stitch markers are stuck on that row, on that lifeline. So, tip, lifelie in before stitchmarkers

Starghan #2

The gift has been gifted so now I can post pictures

I'm too young to dye!

A beautiful friend of mine sent me the most beautiful un-dyed wool yarn. She spun it herself. I'm a dyeing virgin, but have been intrigued with Kool Aid dyeing since I saw it in the Stitch N Bitch book. Does anyone know a good online tutorial for Kool Aid dyeing?

Also, the yarn came in hanks which I hand rolled into balls. Just from reading on the net, it says you can't dye yarn from balls because the color won't go all the way through. Should I put it back into hanks to dye it?

Left Overs

I'm sooo very tired of Turkey and dressing! Anyone else?

It took me a month of crocheting in my "spare time" (I work 60 hrs a week, so I don't get too much), but I finally finished this gift. It is 55" from point to point. Here is a photo with my two little helpers making sure the blanket meets all their standards.

This starghan is a gift for a friend who is completing my astrological chart and has just moved into her own place. She is a Leo/Fire Sign, which is why I chose the colors I did. They are Lion Brand Vanna's Choice.

UK charity crafting group on Ravelry

UK Charity Crafting - forgive the plug, but a number of people have asked me about finding charities to knit/crochet for in the UK - hence the group.

Please feel free to join, talk, post... :)
I am looking for someone who lives an hour (or so) drive from NY Sheep & Wool Festival (Rhinebeck, Dutchess County) who can put up 1 person for the night of Oct 18th.

I usually go home to Central NJ after Rhinebeck, but there is going to be a post-revel party and I can not go to the party AND drive 2 1/2 hrs home.

If anyone can help me please e-mail me at kringskeep AT optonline DOT net.

Need Help finding yarn on Etsty

I would rather use Etsy over EBay; I want to support local artists. I have read the good and bad stories and know that the bad are fewer than the good.

So, I need your ETSY favorites. I have 50$ burning a hole in my pay pal account that I would love to spend. (Des Etsy accept pay pal?") I need recommendations because I don't what to get a wet Willie and get screwed over like...
1. Sellers with a LOT of lost packages that they claim aren’t their fault, If 2 out of three packages go missing, that is going to make me raise an eyebrow.
2 Misrepresentation of the amount of yarn a’ cake' and 'ball' can have lot of different quantities of weight. So, I need two things
1. Pitfalls to stay away from (did you have a bad exeperience?)
2. Quality - One buyer found that after she spritzed her work, all the colors ran,

Specifically especially self striping yarn
P.S. - If anyone has a good source for self striping yarn, I would like to know. On the net, or Etsy
